360 version works very nicely - It's a downloadable 2D platformer - I don't think there is going to be a whole lot of difference in performance. But you probably know that.

@iDarktread: Bummer, because the PS3 version was the lead platform and doesn't have that game-breaking save glitch near the end. :(

You're right. Both controllers felt fine, too. Prolly gonna go with 360 this time around, though.

There is at least a demo on the Playstation Store if you want to try that out and compare it to the trial on the 360. That should get you as close as possible to which version is the best.

Well, in my mind, since they've done a bunch more work for the Playstation Network as opposed to the Xbox Live Arcade, I'd assume the PS3 is the lead console.

But seeing as how doing a google search brings up your topic from before - as the very first result - I'd have to say that we may never know.

Dreamcast was the lead platform.

I got the game on 360 and it played great on that.

They are getting a bunch of praise from their works on the Playstation 3. Therefore, they are better on the Playstation 3.

So go with the Playstation 3.

Also their next game is for the Playstation Vita, so they are sticking with the platform rather closely.

@iDarktread: Oh, and for a while there, there was a promotion that consisted of "HEY IF YOU BUY OUTLAND NOW ON PSN YOU'LL GET A FREE AVATAR!" They didn't do that for XBL.

On the other hand, the avatar is now on the Store for 49 cents. Looks pretty cool, but I prefer rocking my Thor avatar(Ironically enough, in choosing Thor as my avatar here on Giant Bomb, I forgot that I also had a Thor avatar for my PSN). I do prefer the colors of the Outland avatar, but I'm saving my money for the rumored MGS avatars.

What the fuck does it matter which version was the lead?  It's a $10, 2D downloadable game.  Neither system is struggling to pump out those visuals and it's not like you'd be out of a ton of money if you bought the "wrong" (but practically identical) version.
 
This shit was moronic enough when it was about big-budget retail games.  I really hope this whole thread was just a lame joke.
