    Overview

    P-47 II MD is a shoot-'em-up that was initially being developed in 1989/1990 as P-47: The Freedom Star or just The Freedom Star. It was intended as a sequel to the arcade shooter P-47 Thunderbolt: The Freedom Fighter. Development was mostly completed, but the project was canceled in 1990.

    Its soundtrack was released as part of the "Super ROM Cassette in Jaleco" in 2015, as one of 12 games represented on the CD box set.

    In 2023 and 2024, City Connection teased its existence and on December 1, 2024, it was confirmed to be scheduled to release as a genuine Mega Drive (Genesis) cart on March 13, 2025.
