Pan in Dragon Ball Z
Pan in Dragon Ball Z
Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl, also making her the granddaughter of both Goku and Hercule. Because Videl is human and Gohan is half human and half Saiyan, Pan is said to be one quarter Saiyan and three quaters human. She is first seen at the end of Dragon Ball Z as a small child where she fights in the world martial arts tournament and loves to be with her grandfather Goku. She is one of the main characters is Dragon Ball GT, traveling with Goku and Trunks in a spaceship on a search across the universe for the Black-Star Dragon Balls which need to be brought back to Earth to prevent it's destruction. No pressure, right?

Like Goku, Gohan and many others before her, Pan is able to use Master Roshi's Kamehameha technique along with various other techniques. She can also use her ki to fly through the air. However she one of the only main characters with Saiyan herritage to not transform into a Super Saiyan.

Pan is very much a tomboy and isn't into anything considered "girly" unlike Bulma's daughter Bra who is into shopping. She often frightens her dates away with her strength and doesn't seem to understand it. While Pan was fighting in one of the world martial arts tournaments and doing very well, she realised she didn't want all the publicity her grandfather gets and decided not to win the tournament.

She is briefly shown in Dragon Ball Z to wear a similar fighting uniform to Goku's. It is interesting to note that her hair style looks very similar to that of the Saiyan Fasha who was part of Bardock's team. In Dragon Ball GT she wears a short red top with yellow at the end of the sleeves and neck, three-quarter-length jeans and an orange bandana wrapped around her head. She also wears a belt, a chain and fingerless gloves. Pan is never really shown in any other costume. She is said to be around 13 or 14 years old in Dragon Ball GT. Pan is also shown at the end of the last episode of Dragon Ball GT as an old woman and the grandmother of a young boy named Goku Jr.

Video Games

Her first appearance in the video game world was in the playstation game Dragon Ball Z: Final Bout. She has since then appeared as a playable character in some of the Budokai games and Budokai Tenkaichi games such as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
