    Paul Haggis is an award-winning Canadian screenwriter, producer, and director behind such films as Crash, Flags of Our Fathers, Casino Royale and its sequel Quantum of Solace, In the Valley of Elah, and Million Dollar Baby. He is the only person to write two Best Picture winning films in back to back years (2004 and 2005). He caused in stir in Hollywood when, in 2011, he vocally left Scientology after 34 years as a member, proclaiming it to be a "cult." Most notably, he is the co-creator of the groundbreaking TV series Walker, Texas Ranger.

    In 2011, he made his first step in the world of video games when he co-wrote the script for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

    He shares a birthday with Chuck Norris.
