    About

Pavel Datsyuk is a top level player known well around the NHL for his dekes and dangles, often called a "Datsyukian Deke".   He was born in Russia and played professional hockey there until being drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 1998(although he didn't play for them until 2001).  He is now an Assistant Captain for the team.  He does not speak fluent English.  He is known for his hard work ethic on and off the ice.  In the locker room he is known as a very funny guy.
