In Order to Survive, You Must Die (in a Flash Game)
If you haven't been playing the supremely bizarre games that Adult Swim has been publishing on their website, you've been missing out. You cannot argue (I will not allow it) with a driving game where the cars are naked men. Why are they naked? Cars don't need clothes.
Cars. Don't. Need. Clothes.
Additionally, you don't need to be very concerned about staying alive in Soul Brother, a sadistic slice of humorous platforming from newly minted independent developer Jasper Bryne (play it here). Bryne is leaving his post at Frontier Games (Kinectimals, LostWinds) to pursue making video games on his own full-time.
In Soul Brother, you move left to right--it's a platformer, after all. You also jump. Sometimes, you won't be able to reach where you have to go next. To do that, you'll need to die. Throw yourself into the nearest pit of spikes and experience the glory of reincarnation, as well as some newfound powers.
It's weird, appropriately disturbing (the cute aesthetic goes a long way to make you feel unnerved) and won't take you more than a lunch break to play through, unless you want to collect all the secret items.
And hey, if Soul Brother properly indicates what we'll get from solo Bryne, this was a great decision.

Neat little browser game. I'm glad Patrick is sneaking *quality* web and mobile games onto Giant Bomb.
" Ugh, adult swim games are always the worst. "No way. No way these two I just recommended are the worst.
Adult Swim games have been especially fantastic the past few months. The stable of indie devs they've commissioned games from are seriously some of the most talented folks out there - Jasper, and before him Anna Anthropy, and before her Cactus, and before him Matt Thorson. It's just been home run after home run after home run lately, and it's absolutely thrilling to watch.
A news article about flash games where you play as cars that are naked men. Truly Giant Bomb is now on the cutting edge of video game news.
Hey Giant Bomb you know this is old news right? I already read all about this on some guys' google docs a couple days ago.
haha.. cut the guy some slack, eh?
If you clicked the link, your argument is as invalid as Nic Cages opponent from the hair hawk series. (also old)

I really don't know what to say, i tried both, both were horrid. But am not surprised because they're flash games.
Weird for the sake of weird isn't fresh or innovative, its just a bad concept.
Umm, not to knock your tastes too much, Patrick...but those were pretty bad and dumb. Though, don't get me wrong, Adult Swim has put out some awesome stuff before (Robot Unicorn Attack instantly comes to mind).
" @Khann said:....Where the hell are my pants?" Men don't need clothes.*gets undressed* Wait what... "*suggestive eyebrows*"
I love Soul Brother, it has great music, nice concept and it plays well. And to collect everything you have to think and explore.
I find it funny how Soul Brother Burns in images like 'Kill yourself" at the beginning. It reminds me of the relaxation mode in Hexic 2. Well with less of a positive message.
