    OMG I just found out that this game isn't coming out for PS3... weird. I guess it's another MS exclusive added to the list for this year. What's up with only PC and 360? Easier to port to the 360, I'd imagine?

    Ok, now this game has my undivided attention, I was interested before, but look how sexy that is, I have been dying for a game to challenge my computer graphics wise, can't wait to try this out.

    I looked into it further. Am I supposed to be impressed/excited now? Apart from them saying that it is a super duper exciting thing in terms of narrative in gameplay, all I'm seeing - again - are armed men in elaborate suits walking through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, from an eastern european developer whose primary objective - again - is to make awesome graphics. 
    Umm.. yeah. 
    The only thing slightly promising here is that they design this game to not have any kind of HUD. That is always a huge thing for an atmosphere/story driven game and kudos to them if they manage to pull it off.

    Yes. It's a story-heavy survival horror first-person shooter. How many games like that have there been this generation? That's right; very few. Previews promise excellent atmosphere, creepy, claustrophobic environments, an interesting economic system, and quality storytelling.

    What is there not to be impressed about?

    Well besides the screens I hope this confirms that GTX470/480 will be out by mar 16 ( the games release date). I mean it HAS to be out by then, nivida is backing this game for its dx11 yet they don't even have a dx11 card on the market. 
     
     
    the 360 version should look good. Obviously it is not going to have this advanced tessellation but from what I hear it still looks pretty sharp.

    and yeah, I'm seriously hoping that, for once, an eastern developed game manages to be a breakout hit. Not just to a niche audience, but universally liked.

    The 360 can use tessallation. I'm pretty sure Viva Pinata used it for its landscapes.

    Wow, that looks pretty good. I actually almost preordered this because it comes with Red Faction Guerrilla lol. No idea what this game is about though but I'll look into it now.

    Then you'll be waiting forever, DX11 is what DX10 should've been as 7 is what Vista should've been, all development for the foreseeable future will be on that platform.

    Yeah, they seem to be pretty small. 4A was started by some guys who split off from GSC Game World (the guys who made STALKER) before SoC was released.

    My guess is that, since it's a showcase for DX11, they're only using DirectX. Just so happens that the xbox uses a version of DirectX (xbox is short for directXbox). The PS3 doesn't.

    Keep in mind that you're comparing low res and compressed Jpegs to a low res and compressed video. Not great for comparing graphics fidelity.

    I can't wait for this game, I'm kinda split on the idea of it not being PC exclusive though, on one hand I'd hate for it to be dumbed down in any way, but I would also like the game to sell really well.

    Why do they need the new NVidia Fermi. Even an ATI 5750 and 5770 supports DX11.

    because nvidia reps are working with them. So I would hope they are not using their competitors cards.
