how is Shattered Horizon, I noticed it was 25% off on Steam until May 12th and was interested, is it worth $15 and are there a lot of people playing it?

It's a fun little diversion but it couldn't sink its hooks into me.  I played it for a few hours and never really touched it again.

I think the biggest thing holding this game back is that it doesn't support Windows XP.

Great game.  It's a really nice change of pace from the standard shooter.  Flying around space is cool and the graphics are awesome.  It desperately needed new content so I'm glad it's received an update.

I really enjoyed it, I wrote a review for it, actually.
    Here
Sorry for the little plug there, but it gives my thoughts on the game, and that's what you're asking for!

To give the highlights, though: The game is very cool and has a really slick feel. The space combat is really fun and curious and I really enjoyed it.
Sadly, the lack of maps and weapons when the game first released left me feeling not too compelled to keep playing. But now with this addition I am digging it a ton again! The game is pretty sick and not much like any other fps out there.

Playing in zero gravity and large open spaces is interesting. I've had a couple of fun nights with it but at the moment BFBC2 is taking my attention so I don't know if it's that good long term. Comparatively speaking, there are less people on the servers than in TF2, MW2 etc. You'll also need fairly high end hardware if you want to play it at high settings with good framerate. I haven't gotten a chance to play it after the rather large update yet though, so all that I said may be moot.
