I haven't played it yet, I was really disappointed to hear it wasn't as good as Shadow of Chernobyl which I really enjoyed. I've still herd its a good game though so I will probably buy it when it gets a little cheaper. And yes the game looks great. The first STALKER looked great as well especially in the indoor areas with the detailed textures and nice lighting.
I think the first stalker looked kind of dated but was a better game. I was the upgrade they done for Clear Sky graphically pretty dam impressive. Buggy though.
Also some better gameplay elements like wep upgrades and repairs. Also fast travel but it cost money and not easy to use all the time like oblivion with make it suck.
They should have just diteched english vioce and use subs much more immersive.
The game is great, and I don't honestly know a single person who would disagree. While of course its undenyable it was very disappointing that the devs didn't learn from the first Stalker to not release a game until its bugs/glitches are ironed out, looking past that the game itself is amazing, just like the first. Also, even with it looking great on DX9, its one of the few games that really, really really, shows a huge different from DX9 to DX10. Check out a DX10 specific effects video for it somewhere, it's crazy. I just in general get burnt out of open world esque games, and as soon as I started dying alot in this I didn't play i for a while. Seeing this topic though, reminds me to want to check it out again.
