It's almost that time, what are you gunning for?
Me:
- Rocksmith DLC
- Dreamfall Chapters
- XCOM 2
- Guilty Gear Xrd Rev.2 (doubt it will be discounted)
- GTA V

Well, you are in luck! XCOM 2 is on sale right now! I guess you want a bigger discount tho.
Oh that's right... the problem is, I have a bunch of Steam credit BUT XCOM is much cheaper on cdkey sites now (legit ones), so it would be nice if it comes down a little more... Trying to use my credit wisely since Steam itself is usually more expensive lol, sometimes it makes more sense to just buy with cash elsewhere
Mine is far too long to post.
Does the sale have a date yet?
Leaked dates say June 22, might be wrong but it should be this month at some point
I may give unknownbattlegrounds a go if its on sale, i recently bought a new mouse but not sure i can maintain a kb/m game for long periods(shoulder and wrist issues).
Although I really want this to be the year i dont spend anything and act like a responsible adult!
I have about 60 or 70 games on my wishlist. I also have over 400 games in my library already. The majority of which are unplayed.
Bring it on.
I've been on the edge about Prey, but I'm pretty sure that it won't run on my PC. Same with Nier. I'll probably just look at cheaper, smaller stuff.
@justin258: I picked it up for about 37CAD recently on cdkeys.com, worth the full 60 bucks imho.
My actual Steam wishlist has hundreds of titles on it, most of which are no longer available on Steam. I mostly keep them on there to see how long they remain in the database, quite a few of them have reverted to "no title available".
As for the games I plan to pick up on the sale, at the moment it's pretty much:
I may also pick up the new Nier, though I kinda want to wait and see if they also rerelease the original.
Last year's Doom is also a maybe, depending a bit on how deeply discounted it gets. The thing I've always enjoyed the most about the Doom games was the mod community and multiplayer, and both of those aspects seem pretty underwhelming in the new one, even if the campaign seems pretty good.
Also leaning towards maybe picking up No Man's Sky again. Got it at launch and refunded it since it crashed on launch on my old PC even after the first few patches. Got a new PC now, and the recent updates it has gotten seem fairly interesting.
I've got Neir on there, but it'd have to get fairly cheap to make it worth putting up with the PC port's jank. Still waiting for GTA V to go $20 or less. I've got ES2 and Stellaris waiting for a good deal and a rainy day. The rest of it is just random stuff that I'd buy if it got extremely cheap because I want to play it someday.
I have 13 items on my wish list but I only really want a portion of that. My 'want' items ranked are:
No idea. I have 32 games in my wishlist right now, but I have pretty big backlog of games in my library that I've barely touched. And most of gaming right now is being sucked up by those without a clearly defined end (e.g. Overwatch, WoW, Gwent, Tekken), which means I have no idea when I'll have time to play other games again. Just gotta wait until I get bored.
But that'll probably be after the summer sale ends, which means I'll need to buy things I know I won't play for a while; so that I'm ready.
@wynnduffy: As someone who loved The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, I have to say that sadly, Dreamfall: Chapters is not worth it. Half the charm of the original games was whimsical environments and in this last one you spend 70% of the game in two cities. You don't even really get to see much outside them until chapter 5. They ended up sacrificing all the world building they did for "better" graphics. Also, April Ryan isn't even really in it. But it does more or less close out the story.
My wishlist is down to 7 items. Things that seem to never get discounted, or at least never heavily discounted. They are:
Some of these are already only $10 or something, but I just know that a week after I pull the trigger they'll go on sale half price or something. It's not like I don't already have enough games lying around to keep me playing until 2021. Currently running through the GBA Castlevanias for the umpteenth time. I forgot how obtuse Harmony of Dissonance is. I must have finished it a half dozen times in the past, and I still get lost halfway through.
There are some other that could get me but Total Warhammer is tops on my list. Been waiting to get into it once you can get the whole package cheaper as a collection or at least more of it on a solid discount.
Haha, as someone who used to buy ungodly amounts of video games on the summer sales I've toned it down in the last five or six years. Probably the only thing I'd bite on is Wildlands, since it's relatively new but not something I'm hanging full price on. I spent about half full price on Steep and even that seemed like a fairly big ask.
@charlie_victor_bravo: For all the release HATE, NMS is a solid game. There wasn't much variety in the activities you can do, which they've enhanced quite a bit. But from a technical point of view with the Load hiding and Procedural Generation, its worth a look.
Hmm, anything on my Wishlist would be nice, but I'd most like...

Well, shit
Besides that...Probably just a lot of indie games and smaller stuff actually. Stuff like Everything, What Remains of Edith Finch, and Shadow Tactics. This year has been more or less devoted to Overwatch and Persona 5, so there's a ton of stuff I haven't played. Picking up smaller games that don't take up 100+ hours would probably be refreshing.
First:
I loved Dreamfall: Chapters, if you have any sort of attachment to these characters (Zoe, Kian, etc...)i believe you will found it lovely as well.
XCOM 2 is fantastic, i waited quite a bit to grab it beacuse of fear of all the technical issues it had when it launched and when i played it was great, i want to have another go with the long war mod installed, but dont have the time right now.
As for my wishlist, i'm hoping for:
Vanquish/ Bayonetta, i never played either and it seems i owe it to myself.
A heavily discounted Quantum Break.
Total War: Warhammer
Stellaris.
@alistercat: the leak a while ago said June 22nd I believe.
@paliv: Thanks!
Gamestop actually has a sale on right now that probably is pretty similar. I was impatient so I pulled the trigger on Total War Warhammer for $30. That's the lowest it's been on Steam so I'm not expecting more. I just hope some DLC goes on sale because I will buy that up.
I would have been interested in Sniper Elite 4, but seeing how the "discounted" price on humble right now is what new full price pc games used to cost, I'm not getting my hopes up that it will be significantly cheaper on steam.
Otherwise, I'm probably gonna be on the lookout for good prices on Shovel Knight, Watch Dogs 2, Shadow Tactics and maybe the zero escape games.
