Okay now that we've got that sorted out, my serious answer is Fallout 3 looks the best to me but I haven't really been keeping up, I'm just a sucker for Bethesda and Fallout.
Tough decision. Right now what I'm looking forward to the most is L4D. Oh how I have waited for a game with co-op like this. I am going to have some funnnn with my friends.
Left 4 Dead for sure. Seeing as how StarCraft II and Diablo III probably won't come out this year, L4D looks like so much fun, and with the ease that people can make maps on source, the user generated content will keep the game alive for years and years.
best pc game is hard to choose, but i'd say Far Cry 2 or Red Alert 3, fallout looks great and all, but again its a bit too much like Oblivion and Bioshock instead of being actually a fallout game.
It is a tough call between Fallout 3 and Spore. Fallout 3 will eat up my life for a few weeks, but I have a feeling I will be playing Spore on and off for a very long time.
I'm going to have to say Spore just because of the pure hype that this game has, and the fact that it is actually being released after such a long wait.
IMO Warhead and Spore are the best games coming out this year. Both FO3 and FC2 look damn awful specially FO3 T_T ITS NOTHING LIKE previous FO games :?.
As much as I love Blizzard and their incredible games they won't be my choice, mostly because Diablo 3 isn't coming out this year, you should be lucky if it hits the stores '09, but even that isn't guaranteed. Why? Because Starcraft 2 is coming out in 2009. The guys at Blizzard aren't stupid, if they're anything they are über-secretive with what they do, not stupid. To sell as many games as possible they'll never risk releasing two of the biggest franchises on the PC market the same year. So, what do we have? Starcraft 2 - Spring, 2009 Diablo 3 - Winter, 2009 or early 2010 And I know this might seem like an absurdity, but it isn't. Of course I can't know for sure, I ain't no psychic boy. This is just my honest guess.
But now over to the topic at hand, the best PC game coming this year? Easy. Empire: Total War. Try to come up with any good reason why it isn't. That's right, you know I'm right, now go hide in your closet. Now be gone, puny human!

Agreed, can't wait for zombie craziness with Left 4 Dead. Also Far Cry 2 and Crysis Warhead look amazing for my singleplayer fix, and Mirror's Edge just looks amazing.
Left 4 Dead would be my pick. Simply because you don't get many survival horror games on the PC. Dead Space is another one, but I think that's coming out next year.
Red Alert 3 maybe? There are lots of good games coming to the PC this year and early next year which is nice to see, its turning me more into a PC gamer based on the prices and content available for games.
