Sometimes, rather than building a character model from scratch, a developer will sometimes use a real person as a template and use his or her physical attributes to create a similar character model to be used in their video game. In some cases that real reason will appear as themselves in games.
Comic book or manga characters who are also in video games. There are tons of games with superheros such as Batman and Spider-Man out there.
A female version of an already established male character. Normally is a female relative, significant other, or one that's picked up the mantle of his identity.
A particularly faithful female assistant, especially in noir stories. They typically tag along with the protagonist and aid them as needed, while occasionally serving up some sass to keep their bosses in check.
Video games that are based on comic books, manga and graphic novels.
Special or stronger units than standard ones, usually found in strategy games. This is not necessarily the same thing as a superhero or a game's protagonist.
These games are based off of established licenses, such as movies, comics, or TV shows. Examples are the James Bond 007 and Spider-Man franchises.
A list of common "steps" that take place in every heroic story. Joseph Campbell proposed that it is a metaphor for the transition into adulthood.
These are the characters who may or may not wind up in a relationship with the protagonist of the game. Sometimes the player gets to choose if this relationship will develop, while in other instances it is just left up to your imagination at the end of the game.
