Might as well make a thread to compile all info and media for the second location test of this game that will take place from September 27th to September 29th for those that care about this stuff.

Videos of the first location test can be found here (don't report this link to Atlus or ASW ninjas please).

Omex from Dustloop is compiling another pastebin with info from loketest #2 right here. Notable new info:

    General

    • Translation of the command list. (Pic 1, Pic 2)
    • Can now yellowbeat combo into throws blazblue style?
    • More music from P3/P4 has been added, like P4’s backside of the television

    • You can now hold the A button to charge up a meter that appears on screen, and upon releasing it, depending on what level you charged it to, you will get a free EX move, Super, or Awakening super. You cannot charge up to an Awakening super unless you are in awakening. (This must be further details concerning the previously noted S Hold system)

    New Shadow info

    • Shadow characters can do awakening supers if they are at 100 meter
    • Shadow character intro animations are different、shadow yukiko is a total bitch
    • Shadow Aigis has an intro where she crushes a black butterfly in her hand
    • When shadow kanji wins, he puts on the fundoshi and poses
    • Shadow Mitsuru is a weak, cute type of girl?

    Music

    • Persona 4 mirror matches now play "Time to Make History" from P4G.
    • Persona 3 female character mirrors play "Wiping All Out" from P3P.
    • Persona 3 Shadow characters' theme is a Persona 3 boss theme.
    • Persona 4 Shadow characters have their own dungeon themes from the game.

    Elizabeth

    • B zio is now chargable, Liz can move while it charges up

    Aigis

    • New command grab super in the air, ‘Orion’. Probably what the Ultimax suplex nonsense is based off of.

    Labrys

    • Axe level no longer carries over, always starts at blue; which allows you to blow axe super every round and get blue the next

    Yu Narukami

    • Sweep > 5D is back, but it looks like it’s only 1 hit. can otg. 5D has more recovery.
    • All fireballs can be done in the air

    Kanji

    • Kanji can make his 5B bigger, possibly by charging
    • Primal Force = New tackle move from last loketest

    Naoto

    • New input in gun stance: 6D
    • New input during DP: 4A/B/C/D. Name is ‘Safety’. What it does is unknown. DP seems to be a counter once again.

    Mitsuru

    • B droit>2A doesn't work anymore

    Yosuke

    • New Awakening Super: Shippu Nagareboshi/Hurricane Meteor. Can only be done in sukukaja. (He does is like tiger knee you and then on hit he drops a ton of kunai while flipping and like posing at the camera upside down in the air and then Jiraiya throws them at you. Decentish damage?)
    • New Move: Shuntenhishokiri / Ninja Slash? aka V Slasher (Movelist has 214 and 236 listed as inputs, meaning you can go forward and backwards) V-Slash requires Persona, D version is slower, and causes Fatal Counter?

    Teddie

    • New Super: Nani Ga Deru Kuma (I wonder what will come out + bear pun. same name as Faust’ item throw super.)
    • New Awakening Super: Nihil Hand

Also, as I was expecting, Sho Minazuki isn't playable at this location test.

Sucks that we won't see Sho yet, but it makes sense. They probably want to keep him pretty tightly under wraps.

Sho not showing up (hur hur) isn't a huge surprise. When I played the original version of Arena at TGS 2011 and then at another location test later that year, I believe the playable cast was restricted to the core P4 and some of the P3 characters, possibly excluding some of the latter bunch that hadn't been revealed up until that point. Labrys and Shadow Labrys were definitely not a part of either event and Elizabeth didn't even become playable until like two weeks after the original arcade launch as an incentive to keep the hype machine going. I suspect it'll be a similar situation with Sho and that if they have any other aces up their sleeves (there are still some character slots left to fill in, yes?), they may very well not reveal them until the arcade launch onward. It's a fun way to maintain secrecy and help people get accustomed to the core gameplay without diving in completely at launch and being annihilated by pro players in my book.

Junpei's "baseball" mechanic seems interesting to me.

Yeah, his mechanic was covered in the first loketest. Here is a pastebin with information about the mechanic, which is essentially playing baseball while fighting:

    • Junpei seems like a Frank West (from UMvC3).
    • Whenever he lands a hit with a bat, he gains a base, 4 bases = 1 level. He'll continue to gain levels until he receives 3 Outs.
    • Outs are achieved by getting hit.
    • whiffing a bat will earn a strike and 3 strikes will earn an out (3 strikes and you're out!?).
    • Blocking a bats grants him an Ball, 4 Balls = 1 base.
    • Levels carry over from round to round (Max is 10, higher level = more powerful (unsure how powerful)) but Outs / Strikes / Balls and Bases do not.
    • Strikes / Balls are reset when he gains a Base.
    • At first it seems a confusing but it's actually pretty simple, think of it as a hype meter:
    • Hitting things = Hype
    • Watching someone block your shit = kinda hype?
    • Getting hit = Not hype
    • His Super gains 2 levels automatically
    • Strikes and Balls are reset when a base is gained

Added some new details to the OP. The only new media I've seen are those three shots of Shadow Kanji, but at least a lot of new details are surfacing from loketest #2 and the Google doc. is continuously being updated. There've been several changes from the first loketest, so it's cool to see how they're taking player feedback into consideration.

This edit will also create new pages on Giant Bomb for:
