We don't know that yet, do we? As far as I know, the only English voice actor who's been confirmed is Karen Strassman, who said she's going to be reprising her role as Aigis and Nanako Dojima in Persona 4 Arena.

HE IS IN MY FUCKING HEAD. In all seriousness the same VA's in Japanese games/anime dubs tend to pop up a lot. Those VA's being Yuri Lowenthal, Johnny Yong Bosch, Liam O'Brien and Troy Baker himself. These men are as omnipresent as thy lord Nolan North himself.

I won't mind too much if someone replaces the original VAs though since I'm more interested in this canonical story...as if it could get more batshit crazy.

Whatever these things happen. Different sounding Chie is better than no Chie, I miss Bill from left 4 Dead because they never found his voice actor.

also according to wikipedia she does some voice acting for Naruto which is really the same pool (japanese video games=anime that is)

Different artistic visions. Maybe Fitzgerald's voice will fit Chie's character more than Rooney's did, even though it's not the original.

Huh, expect Erin to be Chie's voice in Golden too since they'll have new dialogue which means redoing ALL of Chie's lines. Now to be honest, now that this has happened, I won't mind hearing they were unable to get Naoto's actress back too, after hearing Romi's performance in the anime, the english voice just doesn't compare.

Well guess I'll play that game in Japanese

I don't mind this, though, but it was sad to me because I grew used to Chie's past ENG voice. Hopefully the new voice will be similar. *grabs a nearby bathtub lid for a shield*

This is pretty much what I was looking for, someone who knows some of the characters she has played other then Erica. I am not very familar with her other then she did "okay"(being generous) in Hyper Dimension Neptunia and pretty good in Catherine. I'll take you on your word that she is not as bad as I seem to think. Question though, do you think she fits Chie like her original VA did (I suppose this is subjective but I thought she was great in English and just okay in Japanese)? Cause that's what I am looking for in this. Not hearing normal Chie is gonna be weird so I hope she doesn't change Chie too much.

I could see her fitting into Chie. Alkaid was a very tomboyish girl and I though she did that well. It mainly depends on how the voice director handles her.

They could also be trying to match Chie more to her Japanese VA and make her pitch slightly higher than how the original VA portrayed her.

Well forget this game, then...

I just want the original. If she was originally canadian then I'd want that. It's not a deal breaker since that happens all the time.

Chie's not even my favorite character from P4 (that is Kanji) but I am showing support for Erin by showcasing her previous work :)

I wish I could post some of the amazing takes I've been listening to from New Chie. The old VA was great (one of my favorites in P4) but the new one more than lives up to her legacy. We're not going for a different sound for the character or anything, either.
