Which would you prefer: P4U having music reminiscent of Persona 4's style, but not music that was actually from the original game (Original Music) or would you prefer it if P4U's soundtrack was mostly composed of music directly from Persona 4 (Persona 4 Soundtrack)?

Thinking about this, I'm actually not too sure. There's plenty music from the RPG that I would love hearing in P4U, like this for the character select screen:

Or this for when players win a match:

For a fighting game that will appeal most to fans of the original title, much like a Super Smash Bros., I think that original music could potentially feel very weird instead of familiar music from Persona 4.

I rather have original music in the style of P4's music. Hell I'd be ok with remixes.

Yeah, absolutely. I wouldn't complain if they just put in P4's soundtrack (because P4 had an awesome soundtrack), but I'd rather get something fresh.

Definitely prefer original pieces, especially if they can get Shoji Meguro and the Blazblue composer (I think his name is Daisuke Ishiwatari?) to collaborate.

    Ditto.

I'd be fine if a couple tracks return, but I don't want all of them too. I just want a light, jazzy j-pop soundtrack.

BTW: The Persona games are the only times I can tolerate J-POP.

I think it would be best if the music were mostly original. It's hard to imagine a lot of the music that would play as you wandered around Inaba working in a fighting game, and the dungeon music, while closer to what I'd expect in a fighting game, repeats a bit too much I think. I'd like to see the battle theme and the boss version of it in the game though.

It's obvious and has been confirmed that there will be tracks from P4 and also original tracks, but this poll's asking which would you want more of.

Reading the comments, I guess I'd also be fine with mostly original tracks, just as long as they're not crazily different in theme from Persona 4's music.

@FluxWaveZ: I want 50% of both! EXACTLY EVEN SPLIT!

Nah. I dunno. Original, I guess.

Edit: By which I mean from the original game.

I'd like more original tracks. More new music's always better!

..Oh, but remixes wouldn't be too bad either.

id prefer original music for this game. though remixes of some of p4's music will be great as well. either music from shoji meguro or daisuke ishiwatari will do great for this game...

I´ll say Both new music done by Meguro and some arranged versions of the P4 soundtrack would be amazing and plenty of themes already fit, hell I would be stoked if they can squeeze those arrangements from the anime ,and hopefully they can fix the loop on the tracks you can clearly hear when a track stops in Blazblue not that it bothers me or anything but it´s noticable in the longer battles.

A mix of old and new. As much as I loved P4's soundtrack I'll be disappointed if we don't hear anything new.

Absolutely, both Ishiwatari and Meguro are exceptionally talented and, while they work in different styles, any collaboration would be a dream come true.
