Question! Does this spoil the P4 story in any significant way/s?

Got it a day early and I'm loving it! Just got beat by a guy called "Space Luchadeer" too.

I hope to snag a copy over the weekend. Hopefully the supermarkets are carrying it.

Dunno, it is set after. My bet would be at the very least the killer is mentioned by name. A bigger question is if the plot will make any sense at all without familiarity with the characters.

I played through the story and the name was not mentioned. I didn't play through every character but they seemed to deliberately keep the P4 talk vague for those that haven't played it yet. To answer the original question: I don't think so, but I'm less sensitive so spoilers than some.

I think being familiar with the cast will add to the experience, but it's not required. You won't get some of the references, but ultimately I'd say P4A's story works on it's own.

@ethanml: Only in the sense that you'll find out exactly which characters will join your team as PCs from Persona 4 (and some of 3), but other than that they keep it mostly vague for those who haven't played those titles yet.

Thanks for the responses - but yeah I know mostly everything about the characters etc, watched a lot of ER and played a significant amount myself, just don't want any major spoilers from say the last third or so if i can avoid it.

I don't like Chie's new voice actor very much :(

I feel like this needs to be mentioned to anyone who still doesn't know: The pre-match intro where it shows off the stage and the characters walk in? The game takes that time to match up the connections and resolve lag. Please wait for it to play out at the beginning of each match instead of skipping it, as it'll greatly reduce the amount of laggy matches you have to suffer through. Thank you.

Aw man, I was hoping to main Kanji as I felt bad about never using him in P4, but I can't play him at all. :(

Charlie (which will always be his name to me) and Chie are fun to play though.

Finally. I'm glad for you guys.

I'm enjoying it, the fighting really plays second fiddle to the story which is what I am playing it for. I mean the fighting system seems ok but not the kind I like to spend my time playing. I'm really happy with the amount of story there is though, I wasn't expecting this much.

I pre-ordered it but l can't be bothered to go and pick it up.

I was thinking about it before, but it's been so long that I don't think I'll bother. Maybe when I get through P4G I'll pick up a copy.
