NONE OF THOSE ARE THE P3 PROTAGONIST. I WASN'T ACTUALLY EXPECTING HIM TO BE IN BUT GODDAMMIT.

Pretty excited to be Akihiko and Mitsuru. Like them both and was hoping for more P3 characters besides Aegis (who I generally don't like all that much).

@Catolf: I'll be interested to see if they even try to justify it story-wise at all. They may just not bother explaining.

So Akihiko and Mitsuru get their ultimate Personas, but the Persona 4 gang don't. It's almost as if, in canon, Narukami didn't befriend any of them fully, which is weird as at least Teddie's supposed to have his other Persona and not Kintoki Douji. I wonder if the Persona 4 cast's Personas will evolve in the anime. 
 
Also, Akihiko should put his shirt back on.

Well that´s awesome the more characters the better, but they might as well include the whole SEES team except for Junpei he just suc... Kidding Junpei is cool.

Story wise these two make the most sense actually, they were already seniors during P3 and graduated at the end of the game. Mitsuru was already taking college level courses during her high school years too, so she's free. She's probably tagging along with Aigis, there to investigate the weird incident in Inaba, and as we all know, where there's Mitsuru - There's her pet sla- I mean Akihiko. Akihiko was a good fit anyways being a boxer. Junpei is probably off doing his own thing / going to college, same with Fuuka and Yukari. Koromaru is likely with one of those three or just hanging out at the shrine on port island, and Ken should be starting his first year of high school.

Because Arcsys is saving her for DLC, duh.

If he doesn't show up as some sort of hidden/boss character at the end of arcade or story mode, I don't know what I think about this game.

No need to worry about executions, since it's an actual battle she'll be too busy trying to use Marin Karin instead of doing something useful.

So will Mitsuru randomly use Marin Karin? Because that's the only way it can be true to the game.

Right, I was thinking of Mitsuru. Either way... I've always liked the P4 characters better. They seemed a little more like believable teens than in P3 I feel. Certainly less moody in a kind of depressing way. Their issues were more relatable in a way.

According to the so far translated character profiles, Akihiko and Mitsuru are now college students working for some organization. However an item is stolen from Mitsuru so she and Akihiko go to Inaba to recover it.

Akihiko makes sense, not so sure about Mitsuru but I'd have to see how they both look in game.

Arc System Works is taking care of the fighting aspect of the game. Atlus is taking care of the story. They've already said this a while ago and they've also said they're taking the story part of the game seriously.
