You may be able to pre-order the premium edition for $50. It also has free shipping. The premium edition has a lot of stuff in it and usually goes for about $80. Hopefully they honor the pre-order.

Good catch! I've seen similar mistakes done before, I think my friend pre-ordered a AAA game for dirt cheap and they tried to e-mail him about a change in price but he was able to keep it after calling in originally to cancel during which they were persuaded to honor the original price and ship it to him anyway.

Would love to get in on this, but I'm currently out of funds. I'm assuming they charge you right away for preorders on BB?

Man, I like the look of those tarot cards. I think those cards alone would get me to pre-order it, but yeah, it seems like it wouldn't go for 50.

The question is, am I irresponsible enough to preorder something for a system I don't have...?

I was told you need to deposit around $10 or something. I'm in the same boat as you 'cause I'm out of funds until next week. I wanted other people to take advantage though.

Aw man, if they charged when it shipped instead of charging your card -now-, I would totally jump on this.

The fact that they charge now isn't the best situation ever yet if this saves me 30$ then I won't mind. I can always cancel it if they decide to not honor the price.

How do they justify charging now? I thought credit card companies have a policy that online vendors can't charge until the product has been shipped.

Yes, unfortunately the $53~ish (plus sales tax and/or shipping) was charged for me right away. It might have to do with me opting to check out with PayPal, but I would think it'd be the same if you directly input your credit info on it.

I'm not quite sure why but they didn't charge me the 53$ for the game. I also used paypal as well.

Charged me immediately too, using a credit card (but I don't really care much about that). Turns out I had a $15 coupon in my BestBuy account so the total was less than $40 :)

@sethphotopoulos Looking at the order status it does say Paypal orders will be charged now so I don't know why they didn't charge me. Maybe someone at Best Buy caught on and they plan on not honoring this price.

Maybe. I would imagine if you put in the order while the price is listed as $50 they would have to honor it even if you have to push back a little.

So...I did this and ended up receiving the normal preorder package (incl. cards but none of the other stuff).

I'll be getting in touch with BestBuy -- on the site when I look at my order it still says "premium edition" but the link goes to the unbundled game, so something is wonky. I'm not that hopeful that they'll even be able to do anything (presumably they wouldn't have any extra premium packages lying around anyway) but who knows.

@quantris: no idea about Best Buy, but every area Gamestop I know of has at least a copy on deck. Good luck and have the order number on standby at all times.

@bboymaestro: My local gamestop didn't have any copies of either version. If you didn't preorder then they didn't have anything for you. I'm not sure I've seen that happen since San Andreas.
