Found out on Gamespot also they are working on expansions

Non news. They always wanted to make a sequel, they even said it in their initial kickstarter pitch, and Eternity 2 has only been discussed in meetings a few times so far. They won't do any work on it or start any production until Eternity 1's expansion is all but finished. They haven't even decided if they want to use kickstarter yet.

I feel like the plan was probably to kickstart the first one to show there IS interest in this kind of game, and not to have to bow to publishers' demands about it.

Then they could look for a publisher for the second one to iterate on the same formula without the same kind of pressure, but with more cash to make a more polished game.
