Overview
Play Coins are a form of system-level currency earned while carrying a Nintendo 3DS (Platform) that is in sleep mode. For every one hundred steps detected by the system's pedometer, the player earns one Play Coin, and a maximum of ten can be earned in one day. The 3DS can store up to 300 Play Coins; the amount earned over a thirty-day month. Once accumulated, Play Coins can be spent in games that support them, though their exact use varies from game to game.
