So I just got the new PS3 controller that I ordered and it was quite a surprise. 
First of all it´s written Sony on it and actually it looks like a Sony controller but it feels kinda weird and when I tested Super Stardust HD the controls were horrendous and unprecise.  
 
Now 10 minutes after unboxing and testing that pad does not seem to work anymore lmao 
 
So just an advice: If you see a cheap PS3 controller on ebay from someone in china don´t buy it even if the description says it´s original.

That's too bad. I'm sure you have some recourse with the seller if they claimed it was an official Sony product.

It probably is a real PS3 controller.  Just the shit they sell in China.  I wouldn't buy anything Nintendo, Sony, MS or Apple sell in China.

Man..when you buy from Ebay you HAVE to be more aware of that. When you purchase name brand electronics, even if they are made from that location, you have to expect that there is a very good chance that it is a knock off or much less quality than you might be accustom to. I feel bad for you becasue it always sucks to think you may have gotten a good deal when in reality your better off not even bothering.

How was the sellers rating? If nothing else, you can give him a bad rating so that no one else falls for the same thing.

That's why I never buy from Ebay. I rather spend the extra couple bucks than take the risk of getting a piece of cardboard or a rock.

yeah, china with their knock offs. there are a lot of stuff that are knock offs there.

There's a reason I no longer buy ANYTHING on eBay from Asia and have, in fact, switched 80% of my online shopping to Amazon, the rest a split between Newegg and TigerDirect.

The funny thing is that I do just about the same thing despite selling a handful of items a year and only having a rating of like 85% (thanks to just a pair of thieving assholes giving me a bad rating before eBay clamped down on their electronics sales rules).

did the fake ps3 controller come packaged? packaged like the real one? or it just come in with custom box? "

Well it's a good thing I try to keep my purchases as domestic (in the US) as possible.
