No it's not through an app which would be awesome but through the new and much improved web browser. I have no idea why Sony didn't mention it but it seems the improved web browser has fixed the dropbox support, a site that in the past caused it to crash every time you tired using it. If you got a dropbox account just go to the website and sign in and all your stuff will be there to download. I tried it last night and it works like a charm. The only problem is that the upload might freeze your browser, but this is only a minor issue that has room to be fixed.

    Enjoy your shared uploads.

A bit sluggish but works much better. Posting comments is not working though but browsing is much improved.

HD videos also work, Giantbomb was pretty much unusable before. At least I can now watch quick looks through my PS3.

I'm interested to know this as well. What all can be uploaded from a ps3, or does it just freeze when you try.

That's good. It used to be so horrible having to disable Javascript to even have the site work at all.

I may have to take back that statement, the HD videos are very choppy and sluggish which is pretty disappointing, but you can watch the videos on high-quality without this problem.

I always wondered why they didn't bother to integrate a not terrible web browser. They must be working on something that needs it.

I think it's got to do with limited amount of memory the PS3 has.

I'm sure that's a factor, but the Wii web browser has been miles better since day one. This isn't like the Saturn web browser that had a massive 2 MB to work with; there is no reason that the PS3 shouldn't be capable of performing everyday web functions. I went through a 2 month period in which the PS3 was my only browser and it was AWFUL.

From my limited understanding of Ps3 hardware I thought it was that Sony did not make small random bits of RAM easily available. Everytime you ask your ps3 to load a web page it uses way more memory then it should.

I may be making this up.

It was bad, but it was better than having people bug me on Skype all the time. Technology giveth and Technology taketh away.
