i have a problem, i just recently changed my hard drive in my ps3 went from a 60 gb to a 320 and installed it step buy step all 5 screws. but now after i restored the memory from my external hdd on to the new hard drive occasionally when i turn on my ps3 it doesnt load right, instead it say:
cannot start, the correct hard disk was not found.

now it doesnt happen all the time but when i shut off the ps3 and turn it on usually it runs normal.

does anyone know why it would do that? maybe a crash drive or maybe a corrupt file??

    thanks for the help

Hmm this is odd. Perhaps a faulty HDD or perhaps refit the new one.

Search around Google too. Similar thing must have occurred to someone.

It's most likely a faulty hdd. I put in a faulty 160gb hard drive from my sisters laptop to see if it would magically work on the ps3 and i think i got the same message. I then put in a new 160gb hdd and have never had a problem with it.
Thats a pain that a new 320gb hdd may be faulty. Hopefully you can return it.
