you can use a USB flash drive to copy songs onto your HDD, if that's what you meant.

Is there a USB drive you could plug your MP3 player into and sync music?  Or put music on a disc and copy it onto your HDD.  Idk though, don't have a PS3

You can also set up a media server on your PC and copy them that way if you don't have a USB or your USB is too small.

@solh0und: The drive needs to be fat32 not ntfs or Mac formatted.

@solh0und: Make sure the flash drive is formatted as FAT32 and after it's in your PS3 hit triangle and choose display all. VOILA.

You can rip it from the disk, transfer it from your pc by media server and by usb. If it did not find the music on the usb it may need to be in the correct folders (i think its PS3/MUSIC).

    use PS3 Media Server
This.  Find the songs through the Media Server, hit "copy" (triangle I think) and you're done.

@solh0und: Try pressing triangle on the usb device under music, then chose "display all" and search through all of the folders that way.
