So yesterday, I had a coin flip to end all coinflips: subscribe to whiskey media or PS+. It landed on tails, which meant I subscribe to PS+. 
I downloaded all the stuff that was free for the month, played a bit of Stacking and got excited to play Ripto's Rage. While I was playing Stacking, the fan for my PS3 mysteriously turned off and then the system went Kaput as well. I have unplugged and plugged back in, switched and switched back, etc. etc. The thing's not turning on. I took a nap and then did the same process, still nothing.
 
Is this Zeus telling me I should have forked over the $50 to all the people I love so dear? Did Dave's top manliness make him have godlike powers? Is there any way to fix my PS3?

You have to subscribe to WM now, only after this will your PS3 work.

Did you not know the Whiskey Media "top men" could reach into your PS3 and mess around with it if you don't appease them with a human sacrifice on a monthly basis? (or money, they are not to fussy) 
 
 
Seriously though, sucks about your PS3, I had the same thing happen to me. Have you ever backed it up? I lost almost 3 years of saves and installs when mine died :/

Sounds bad. You could try to fix it yourself, send it out to Sony or send it to a business that fixes them. I chose the 3rd option, it cost roughly half of what Sony would charge plus your data isn't wiped. If you send it to Sony I'm pretty sure you will get a different unit back. And I think if you take out your HD and try to put it into a different ps3 it has to format it or something, thus losing your data. 
 
Are you having the problem where it beeps quickly and the light keeps flashing?

That's cruel is what that is. 

when you turn on the switch in the back does the red standby light come on? if not it's the power supply, you can replace it yourself for like $40-50 if you know how to work a screwdriver. i think you need a size 10 torx as well, not sure if it's a slim. 
 
anyways, that's what went out on mine and it was a cheap easy fix, took like 10 minutes once it got here and it's been fine since. mine is a fat 60gb model from launch, so i was well out of warranty.

Harsh, man. Sorry for your loss. At least your free stuff will be waiting for you when you get your system back in order, since I'm pretty sure that Stacking promotion ends this week.

Well, I don't believe in karma and Dave seems far too nice of a guy to be going around breaking peoples' PS3s, so yes, Zeus did it. I feel sorry for you with your PS3 just dying on you like that though.
