    Would the old microphone from SOCOM US Navy Seals work as a mic for PSN?

    maybe im not sure. theres sony's mic in the new socom thats coming out in a couple months. you could buy that.

    Yeah they do since they're USB headsets. Mine worked when I got my PS3 at launch right before the headset broke (they do break a lot :P). Anyway, I can't wait for Confrontation. I'm glad they've decided to also package in the official PS3 bluetooth headset with it.

    yeah i cant wait to get that. the one with warhawk is weird. makes my voice sound like some creepy old man.

    As long as its a standard USB mic it'll work just fine. However if you buy the retain disc version of Socom,it comes with a really nice Bluetooth headset with the game. If you're just gonna download it from the psn then i'm sure your old mic would work fine.

    USB wired mics work fine... I've been using mine since the 2.4 update and the resulting bluetooth mic problems.
    I sure hope they get this fixed quickly... I hate using the wired mic. :(

    (a usb mic is also good to have as a backup in case your USB loses charge, or for games that have poor voice chat support).
