I don't even have to play it to know it is my game of the year and that is Uncharted 3. I have a platinum in Uncharted 2 and still need to go back and finish the couple of trophies left in the first one and will have a platinum in that before 3.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Science disagrees. Uncharted 2 won almost EVERY catagory.

This just in, Uncharted 3 has been delayed to 2012.

God damn. I love it when a new year comes but it also means, inevitably, that every few weeks I'm going to be saying "There are far too many games coming out this year." So many amazing looking games coming out this year (InFamous 2, Arkham City, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, etc) along with the games that have already released that ARE amazing (Dead Space 2, Portal 2, MK, L.A. Noire, etc) make this years GOTY awards look crowded.

Cool atitued with that Uncharted 3. But what will happen when it disapoints you?

UC 3 has more potential to win than BUGrim (see what I did there?). It's just like Oblivion again. We are waiting for a elder scrolls game that's supposedly better than Morrowind....yeah right. Also: Bethesda needs to get better at checking for bugs!

It won't disappoint me, because Naughty Dog has an awesome track record. Think about Uncharted 1 and 2 are both so damn good. Crash Bandicoot on PS1, and Jak and Daxter on PS2. Naughty Dog doesn't disappoint. That all being said I cant wait for Duke Nukem, Infamous 2, Twisted Metal, Batman, Darkness 2, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, Skyrim, even Modern Warfare 3 for the single player (I love Soap and Price as characters), and of course Battlefield 3 because that game looks so great.

Batman won a lot of awards but Uncharted 2 took home almost every award from most places. Still don't see why people could say bad things about a game that had more perfect reviews than I count lol, and has been called quote "The greatest single player game ever made". Sonic 2 use to be my favorite game of all time till Uncharted 2 and your right about Uncharted 1 (feel like an ass for that comment lol, forgot about those games.

In 2007 Portal, COD4, Galaxy and Bioshock were taking home GOTYs. I don't recall one single website calling Uncharted 1 GOTY. And in 2009 Batman had quite a few GOTY awards.

The first Uncharted was a short tech-demo starring a male Lara Croft and with no multiplayer modes to speak off. Uncharted 2 is where it's at!

IGN gave it Ps3 GOTY, its on the greatest hits cover.

Game developers should just announce games and never make them! 
 
People will still talk about how awesome the games are, even if they only have promotional material to go by; and the studios themselves will save a whole bunch of money by not actually developing anything. A win-win situation!

I don't think I've found mine yet. Maybe the upcoming Batman will do it for me. LA Noire was fun, but not GOTY material imho. And I'm not into any of the COD/BF/WAR games. Hey, E3 is next week!

When I got Uncharted in 2007 I beat it in 2 sittings. I've had Uncharted 2 for nearly 1 and a half years now and I still haven't finished it. I don't know why, but I really didn't enjoy U2.
