Is anyone having trouble downloading updates for games on the PS3?

I've not had any problems, unless you count speed as a problem.  This is one of those things that I think xbox does better.  I've waited an hour before for a firmware update before, even NXE didn't take that long.

Downloads are fast, installs are slow :(

mine always go as smooth as butter baby. 

I've never had a problem with updates downloading or installing. I don't really care about how long it takes though, I just put down the controller and make a sandwich or something.

i had troubles when I first set up my ps3 but then i reconfigured my router and everything has been smooth since.

Mine was having issues at first.. I could connect and download maybe 15 - 35% of the update and then it would just stop and i'd lose the connection. I had to call Sony support and they basically told me to turn off the media server optpion I think.. Everything seemed to work fine after that. Updates and installs take long though!

fixed it. I turned off UPnP on my router. Everything works great now. 

Might be worth throwing the PS3 in the DMZ on the router if you haven't already.
