Apparently according to this article, Sony's flagship console - the PS3 is trying to not only dominate the Blueray, Video Game and multiplayer market, but the PVR market as well. 
Sadly this device is set only for release in Japan.

wow i would love to have one of those. i hope it comes in US if this is true. it would be kick ass to watch things that i miss.

If that ever comes out, I can finally stop paying Fios more money for DVR :D

i'm sure as fuck not letting my mom watch recorded episodes of "House" on my god damn playstation!
