Seems like Sony is really pushing hard with all it's PSN stuff lately. They just announced that if you spend $100 on anything in the PSN store for October you'll get a $20 credit in November. Between Plus, digital day 1 and now this they are seriously competing with Microsoft in my opinion. Here is a link to all the details. I'm going pre-order DOOM 3 BFG Edition and buy Sonic Adventure 2 to contribute to that $100 total. Anyone else going to participate in this?

There is quite a bit of stuff I've been meaning to pick up on PSN so I might take advantage of this. Warriors Orochi 3, Way of the Samurai 4 and Legasista would be over a hundred so I'll probably pick up those.

Edit: I assume this works for PSP and Vita stuff as well, might get Unchained Blades instead of Way of the Samurai.

I think the PSN Store has been competing with the Xbox Live Marketplace ever since they've had exclusives that don't come out in other platforms 2 months later. I seriously see don't see enough exclusives in the Xbox Live Marketplace to make me want to go out and buy an Xbox. Unless you are just referring to promotional stuff Microsoft does I'm totally unaware of, and only comparing the two online stores on that front. If that is the case, disregard my comment. But even still, I like how with the PSN Store I can spend just the amount of money I want without some counter-intuitive points scheme that is, to be fair, mostly harmless, but still pretty annoying because why.

I just don't see how it's even a competition, unless there's something I'm really missing out on. XBLA Summer of Arcade has great titles, but those worth getting end up on Steam sooner or later, and maybe I can even play them both on my MAC laptop and PC desktop.

More on topic: I seriously hope this also applies to European customers. If so, it makes me glad I've been holding out on plenty PSN products for as long as I have. Does anyone know if that is the case?

I like them experimenting with a lot of PSN stuff late in the game. I feel that it shows promise for their next console. Maybe I'm looking into it too much though.

Sony has always been competing. But it's hard for them to compete well with a company who can get people to pay money for ads and P2P online.

I guess LBP Vita, Tokyo Jungle and Starhawk multiplayer would get me close. I may pick up Papo y Yo as well as Sound Shapes to help make it to 100.

I think i can reach that limit if i buy Dishounered digitally, too bad i just bought Tokyo Jungle and Starhawk MP a couple days ago

I spent $122 on the Store yesterday so I'm getting that $20. It's great too because I received my college refund check last week so I was able to get in on this since I never buy anything on PSN. I bought:

• A year of PS+
• The Unfinished Swan
• The Walking Dead Episode 4
• Papo & Yo
• Quantum Conundrum
• L.A. Noire DLC pass
• Dead Rising 2: Off The Record
• Some avatars
• Got all The free PS+ stuff from September and this month

Sony IS really kicking it to Microsoft. Hopefully they keep doing these kind of promos. If they do, I'll just have to keep giving them my $money$!!!

@msavo: What is Alex Kidd about? Is that from Rovio? I didn't really notice DR2: Off The Record in the store. I saw it online and decided to buy it. It'll be a while before I get to play all the games I have because of school, electricity and AC3 coming out.

Also, what's your PSN? Did you download Payday: The Heist? I always wanted to try it and now that it's free, I don't know anyone who has it that I can play with.
