So my main question is when you purchase money to go into the wallet or to buy a new game, how long does it take for the charge to be applied to your real life Bank Account?  Is it instantanious, or does it take 3 days to clear?

Why does it matter? You should keep that stuff up-to-the-second-accurate no matter what.

@choffy21: Its not for up to the second records.  Its that I don't get paid till Friday and if it doesn't clear for a couple of days, then I can avoid an Overdraft charge

No offense, but if less than $20 can push you to an overdraft, than a purchase on PSN should be the least of your worries.

@JokerClown88: Usually takes a couple of days, it depends on what bank you got your account from. my bank account always  emails me for any activity charge that i made or i can check my bank account online.  Why don't you just get a playstation network card  its much easier and there everywhere now.

@fugie7: Finally an answer.  Thank you.  Its curiosity mainly.  Wondering if it is the same as my 360 in terms of a delay from online purchase to the money being withdrawn.

@JokerClown88: no problem man, i think its the same with the 360 but im not really sure. i usually dont charge my card with them nor with the playstation.  i get points or the PSN card less things to worry about when i do that.

All purchases go through authorization that usually takes a day or 2.

As far as I can tell, it's always been instant for me. Besides, it would be in their best interests not to be giving people downloads before they have the money, I imagine >.~
