If you get a "free" game from PSN+ it only lasts as long as you have PSN+. If you want to keep playing you have to either keep up PSN+ or buy the game outright from the PSN Store.

The other option is to download Spyro and just finish it before the trial runs out.

Yeah, you won't be charged at all. The file will just not boot and state that it is expired. Also, if you press triangle and then go to information on Spyro (or any other free PS+ game) you can see when your trial officially expires for that game.

Kind of surprised that more people don't buy into PSN Plus. I've had it for about 6 months, and I gotta say, it has paid for itself 3-4 times over in that time. Just got the entire Telltale Back to the Future series for free, all the Syphon Filters for free, some Swords and ...something for free, easily $40 worth of content on the store as a non-Plus subscriber, but free for my $50/year, and that seems to happen more months than not. Yeah, it's not all gaming gold, but even if it's not free, there are usually some really good sales for Plus only subscribers as well.

@Krakn3Dfx: I think it's worth it for cloud saving alone (though I wish they'd up the size limit). When my 40 GB PS3 hit a hardware failure, I was so upset I didn't have my saves backed up somewhere. I know the backup utility is there, but it's not as seamless and automatic as the cloud saves.
