I have a launch PS3 and I skipped out on upgrading to the current slim version but now stands.

Take that, earthquakes!

I'm at a loss. Seriously, not getting it.

I keep my machines on the horizontal anyways, cause of the 3 teir wall mount stand (glass shelves) I got for components. Recievor though is on the cabinet, weighs over 50 lb I think, which was over the limit

the big question is, should i stand while handling the stand?

I have a progressive idea for Sony: Do something about the high price, something like lower it!! I really don't care if I can stand it up, I care about the price, and $300 for a six year old console is a no-brainer for me, a no buy.

This is the greatest thing about stands since Stephen King's The Stand.

I can remember getting my new PS2 on launch day and standing that baby up and thinking it was the coolest goddamn thing I'd ever seen. Now I just want consoles to be on a shelf and out of the way.

They have to make it seem new to Christmas buyers, it's their last bang for the PS3, so why not make a new version and trick late buyers into getting 'the latest and greatest hardware', even though it's six years out and the new one is looming. Then again, people still buy PS2s, so I am more looking at this model as something that will carry over into the PS4's lifespan for not as wealthy gamers.

Aw man, I totally thought that stand slanting means the black part can move and you can slant the ps3 at an angle.
