So I just got done watching Brad and Jason work towards Brad's first platinum trophy and it got me wondering what platinums you all have. I know there are some serious trophy hunters out there and wouldn't be surprised if there are more than a few in our midst.

I only have 1 platinum, as of now, in Shadow of Mordor. I heard it was an easy platinum and I noticed I was about 3 trophies short after I beat the main story. I've thought about trying in other games, but I have such a large backlog, at the moment, I haven't felt like dedicating myself to a single game for an extended amount of time. I do like going after trophies and trying to get as many as I can, without driving myself crazy over them.

I think I will try and platinum MGS V as long as there aren't too many outlandish trophies to get.

Sly Cooper HD. Easiest platinum trophy out there. I came really close with Saints Row The Third as well, but I fucked up and eliminated all the gang members from Steelport before getting the 'taunt 50 enemy gang members' Saint's Book challenge.

I'd say the easiest is something like Walking Dead Season 1, but yeah, the Sly Cooper ones were pretty easy, too. I believe there is a way to get that Saint's Row trophy even after taking over everything. I'd have to look up what it was, though...can't remember.

What a huge mistake.

The rest of the platinums I have are for games that mattered the most to me (and were the most feasible to get--I'd get plat in Shadow of the Colossus, but fuck Time Attack) that weren't too tedious... Although Bloodborne's chalice dungeons are just trash and Demon's Souls has that wonderful Pure Bladestone RNG (which I somehow got years ago, leaving me with just miracles/spells/reasonable upgrade materials).

@dprotp: Blame the DS3 for the M4 hold up missions. Those were much easier on the PS2 with the beefy DS2 buttons. That final sniping variety mission almost broke me though. I really hate the sniping in MGS1/2. It seemed almost impossible.

I have like 16. I wish the witcher 3 didn't have difficulty trophies, or else I would probably platinum it. Games of that size should not have trophies that require multiple playthroughs.

Some of the spec ops missions are quite unforgiving on veteran.

I only have Infamous: Second Son's platinum. Its an easy one but I really enjoyed the game. Infamous: First Light's platinum is much harder to get due to all of the combat arena stuff.

I have 5, all from the LEGO meta series. The vast majority of those where fun to earn, with the exception of the occasional throphy not popping (actually annoyingly common.) or some of the more mediocre titles (sorry Batman 3 and Indy 2, should have tired harder) it's given me hard franchise burnout occasionally and I don't think any future game will ever match the glory of lego LoTRs but, given the sheer number of collectibles I make say I'm proud of earning them ( but not as proud as I will be when I eventually platinum a more complex game.)

Oh, definitely. The DS3 is way too sensitive. I ended up taking a small metal wire and bent it into a ring around the H button so things were slightly better.

MGS1 Snake's sniping mission took me a few tries, but it's definitely nothing to scoff at. An unforgiving mission paired with shit controls isn't the way to go.

I think MGS2 Snake's sniping mission broke me the worst, just because the difficulty spike between that and Raiden's is insane.
