PlayStation 4 is Sony's fourth home video game console, released on November 15, 2013 in North America, and November 29, 2013 in Europe. On November 10 2016, Sony released the Playstation 4 Pro, an updated version of the console targeting 4K gaming.
Will the PS4 have a headset bundled in?
If Sony is continuing with their posh world class entertainment system aesthetic, they'll want you to buy a more expensive add on headset instead of a cheap pack-in. It's lame but whatever.
Did the Wii U come with a headset or is there a mic built into the controller?

Well they did allow 3rd party bluetooth headsets...
I think they will put in a (cheap) headset, but a part of me hopes they don't.
Me too. There are more then enough assholes with headsets already, we don't need any more.@billyhoush said:

I think they're going to do everything they can to keep the cost of their system reasonable, and that includes making you buy your own headset.
I'm going to say no for bundling it with the console as Sony will try to keep the price as low as possible with the bare minimum required and a headset is not that. They will bundle it with certain multiplayer focused games I reckon though.

I think there is a built in Mic in the controller, but thats useless if the game is played with the Pro Controller. I did see a Nintendo branded headset in stores though.
What? Are you sure that wasn't one of those unofficial products?
I think, if they've learned anything from this generation, it's that you need that sort of functionality to be in the box on release day if you want your big exclusive multiplayer games to be successful. I hope there is one and I hope the next generation of Playstation Plus continues to be awesome.

Just checked my own personal Gamepad, the mic is on the bottom.

I wouldn't be suprised if Sony has a mic built into the console itself.
mmm I hope not. The Vita has a built in mic and you can hear people all the time becasue they never turn it off. It's almost hidden to find out how to turn it off...I had to look it up. You hold down a button to bring up some extra menu that's not even in settings.
People that leave their mic on all the time suck. Games that make it hard to mute people suck even more.
Quite simple, it will add to the cost of the system, so the answer is no. They hardly ever make any money on the console itself, and want the consumer to buy accessories and games with it. You will probably have 3 choices for a headset, a simple bluetooth headset, a mediocre headset with surround and a top end 7.1 model.

I meant the Nintendo branded headset.
Probably not, i just hope they keep letting people use any devices they want rather then over priced propriety hardware. It is nice using any normal memory card, hard drive, headset, etc. rather then buying a lesser, more expensive version just for a console.

Pretty sure its official, it was in that same blue box that everything else comes in.
It really comes down to two questions.
1) Will it have a microphone to pick up ambinat noise or for voice control?
2) Will it come with a headset for voice chat in games and in programs?
I say, maybe for the first question. But, no, for the second. The Orbis will probably stick with a Bluetooth for peripherals (joypads, keyboards, mice, headsets, etc), but coudl include a system for picking up voice or sound not strictly for clear multiplayer use.
