    PlayStation Home was a social games network where PSN users could play games and socialize. Home saw a refocus in Fall 2011 in North America and Europe that put more emphasis on games than social spaces.

    This call to arms (which will be used for body pops and not body blows) is not without its own reward. Whichever faction wins this desperate struggle for control of PlayStation Home by forming the longest dance lines or chains in Central Plaza will then unlock a special reward item for all of Home, to be delivered in a future update.

    Anyone else plan on attending? I know it may seem "childish" to some people, but I honestly think that this is a step in the right direction for Home. If you think about it, this is a genius way to influence people to purchase the hamster outfit who were not originally planning on doing so.

    Funny thing to note is that I actually dressed my little guy up last night and went to the music lounge thinking that the event was taking place yesterday. About 5 hamster showed up, all danced in a row, then someone told us "Uhh... you guys know it's tomorrow, right". I guess the good thing about Home is no matter how foolish you feel, none of it is real, so there is no actual consequence.

    Anyways. If any of you will be there tonight, hit me up. My PSN is Ar4chNova89 and I hope to see some support from the GiantBomb Community. A few people will be throwing it on YouTube and this seems like the perfect thing for Jeff to rant about.

    This looks interesting. I agree that this is something that should encourage people into socializing in Home to a certain extent. Are there any specific requirements to join this event? You mentioned a hamster suit. Us, humans, we don't need anything special?

    @Shayo: There are no requirements to join the event and I don't believe you need anything special if you plan to compete as a human. You just need to be in Central Plaza at 8:00PM PST.

    People waste their time with Home? That's amusing. Hopefully they replaced the Twilight poster/trailers with Twilight 2 poster/trailers. That way it'll be more exciting.

    I enjoyed it. I stuck around for maybe 30min just checking it out. The Humans definitely outnumbered the Hamsters, but I guess that's what you get when you make a competition between Free Items vs. Paid Items. A lot of trash talk, even a system war erupted in the middle of the event.

    Yea they could do a better job of not only scheduling but also getting the word out. Make PS.Blog part of the XMB or something.
    Honestly, it just felt a little "off". It was just a bunch of people dancing. No one knew if it was being monitored or if anyone was counting, just a bunch of people dancing like they normally do on Home.
    Didn't take long for me to say "Ok this is weird" and decide to hit up some more SOCOM.

    I would have done it if I hadn't found out about it JUST NOW. They should have done more to get the word out. And putting the Blog in the XMB would be crazy sweet.
