Gamebreaker

The Gamebreaker concept was ushered in by the EA Big games. It is essential a power up that builds during gameplay and allows a player to unleash a flurry of powerful attacks when used.

The Hunter

The Hunter is a major enemy in Dead Space, and Isaac encounters it on multiple occasions. Each battle is difficult, as the Hunter regenerates it's lost limbs.

Pistol Envy

Shooters always start you with a base weapon, usually a pistol. Sometimes, these base weapons wind up being the best in the game.

Big Sister

These grown-up Little Sisters appear in BioShock 2.

Scatterbrained Characters

A forgetful character that frequently misplaces items.

Roc

Enormous legendary bird(s) of prey.

Coach Gameplay

Preloading

Preloading is when the rider of an ATV ducks down, and then quickly pops up right before going off a jump to get more airtime. This can be found in games like Pure or THQ's ATV series.

Waggle

Many of the games released for the Nintendo Wii take 'advantage' of the controls available by forcing the player to shake or 'waggle' the Wii remote and/or nunchuck. Waggling generally does not require skill on the part of the player; only shaking movements.

Partial Ring Loss

In a few games from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, it's possible for the playable character to take damage without losing all rings.

Damage Per Second

DPS stands for Damage per Second and represents the average damage a character can cause each second . This is often used in MMORPGs so people can determine how much damage they cause. DPS can also refer to a character or character type that specializes in high DPS

Instance

Special areas, generally in an MMORPG, where your group or raid party is able to interact with a location privately; that is, without interference from other players or parties.

Manhunters

The Manhunters were the peacekeeping force created by the Guardians of the universe prior to the Green Lantern Corps. They are often enemies of the Lanterns, and under Cyborg Superman's control they became members of the Sinestro Corps.

Orange Lantern Corps

Entities empowered by the orange light of greed. Anyone killed by a Corps member becomes an orange light construct.

Parademons

Parademons (or rarely, Para-Demons), are the personal shock troops of Darkseid.

Dark Knights

A team of twisted, malevolent versions of Batman gone wrong from different worlds in the Dark Multiverse. Many of them are a version of Batman with elements or aspects of another DC character, often a member of the Justice League.

The Court of Owls

No one talks about them. Not a whispered word is said. For if you try to cross them...then a Talon strikes you dead.

A Build Queue allows a production unit or structure to immediately build a new unit once the current unit is finished building.

Glamour

Glamour is a type of Magic in Grim Grimoire that is all things Nature and Holy. All of the Glamour magic books combined can summon, An Elf, Fairy, Unicorn and Morning Star.

Morning Star

Morning Star is a type of Familiar that can be summoned from the Titania Rune, Morning Star is apart of Glamour and is the only Astral familiar in the Glamour class. Morning Star attacks with the star in thier hand, it hurts all enemies in the area.

Pentagon Stat Indicator

The pentagon stat indicator is a mystical chart, made to quickly show your stats. Usually shows up in Japanese games.

Impossible to Lose

No matter how hard you try, this part of the game (or maybe even the game itself) is impossible to fail.

Trout

A common fish in both freshwater and saltwater. There are about 20 different types of trout.

Unused Sleeves

When a character wears a shirt/coat/etc. without putting their arms in the sleeves.
