I was thinking of subscribing to PSN plus for the free games and was wondering how the games work. Do you have to have the free games downloaded onto your PS3 while it's free or can you just "buy" them in your cart and download them whenever? I guess I'm wondering if I can have the "free" games added to my account when they pop up and I can download them even when they stop being "free"

@JCGamer: You can "buy" them and can play them whenever as long as you are a PS+ member. When your subscription runs out, the games get locked until you re-sub. You don't need them to be downloaded on the PS3. Just in your download list.
