If there was the entire ps1 catalog available for download, I'd buy a whole nother ps3 just to fill it will ps1 games. I'm getting old and need to buy the 90s back, and if it's downloadable no need to switch discs or deal with hunting down ps1 memory cards. PSN japan has 10 times the ps1 classics as we do, that's bullshit.

    That... would be nice.

Though, I'd somewhat say the same of Nintendo with their back catalog. If they just put more of the tons of games in their back catalog up for download, I might just get a Wii U and 3DS and buy all of my old games on them.

I would kill to get the Mega Man Legends games on there. Unfortunately there are legal hoops that Capcom isn't willing to jump through.

Damn you inafune. You've not only killed future megaman you've killed past magaman too. I can take pride still in that fact that I still own both the mml games and the misadventures of tron bonne. Three of the best games ever made.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. Most of the major PS1 releases I like have seen a release, save for Suikoden 2, but there are tons of PS2 games I'd love to see get a re-release. There were so many great RPGs from that era.

Many of those games have been re-released in HD Collections, which I have to assume are profitable endeavors since they just keep churning these out. If games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus or the first three Devil May Cry games had been available for download on the PlayStation store these original versions would probably deviate sales from HD collections since they'd also most likely be cheaper.

I approve of trying to buy the 90s back!! Getting old on the other hand kinda sucks.

Not sure why the selection of games is so small, maybe it´s because of emulation troubles? Also, the store in its current form would not be good enough to flip through the entire PSone library.

I really just want Dark Cloud 1/2 on there. As someone that basically got a PS2 originally for DC1 it seems crazy that it isn't.

What's keeping them from doing this is all about licensing and other stupid things. Also see Earthbound.

Now check out the Japanese PSN.
