So is my CC information safe with Sony?

They said no CC numbers were leaked, but should I trust Sony with my CC information? is there an option to have them not store the info and just use it for one time purchases?

If possible you could just use PSN prepaid cards.

Cool, thanks for the quick replies. I looked into it, and it appears that amazon sells the cards and codes for psn games as well.

@ManiacMaysin: You also get the codes ASAP so you just order the PSN cards from Amazon and they email you the PSN code in seconds.

It's probably safer than most other web sites out there now that it's happened and they've beefed up security. Doesn't mean it couldn't/won't happen again.

I'd go with the code route (this is what I'm now doing). That said, if you are using an actual credit card and not a debit card you should have some built in fraud protection. My credit card has pretty nice coverage but I just don't want to have to deal with getting a new card and getting it resolved if it gets compromised again.

I'm erring on the side of caution and not giving them my cc# again.  MAYBE my info wasn't stolen the first time (not that Sony's been able to prove that), but it was still a huge inconvenience having to cancel my credit card and be without one for a couple weeks.

Its as safe as it is anywhere else on the internet.

I'd rather buy cards, especially now that it's finally available here in Sweden
