The PlayStation TV is a media streaming device based on the PS Vita. It can play many (though not all) Vita game cards, as well as supporting some PSN games and PS4 Remote Play.

So how do original PSP games look on the PSTV?

Hey all, the Australian release of the PSTV is fast approaching and I still have plans to purchase one, mainly because I have never owned a PS Vita or a PSP, and all of the games I would want to play are compatible. At this point, I have seen enough videos to say that I don't mind whatever minor resolution issues there are when bringing a PS Vita game to a TV (especially since I still play my PS2 on a widescreen TV with letterboxing on the sides and deem that to be acceptable), but what about original PSP games? The games in particular I want to play are the Dissidia games and Persona 2.

Has anyone had an opportunity to try out PSP games on the PSTV and if so, how do they hold up?

Also, bonus question, I guess; PS1 classics. Are PS1 classics basically the exact same whether you play them on a PS3 or a PSTV?

I know its been a while but I will answer. Not super great. The PSP screen wasn't even standard def if I am remembering correctly. So PSP games look very grainy. They do work and run, however.

Of course I am fine with it. I had a video out cable for my PSP which didn't look great either, but I liked it.

Persona 3 Portable looked alright when I was playing it. Buuuuut I don't know, man. If it's between a Vita and PSTV I'd go for the Vita if you have the extra cash.
