The ability to redeem My Nintendo points for games and discounts is not a new thing. It's been a thing for the 3DS and Wii U for a few years now. I started earning points in March 2016, and redeemed some of the platinum points for a 20% discount on Captain Toads Treasure Tracker that summer.

The new thing is that it's about to be implemented for the Switch.

Only reason anyone goes to a Taco Bill is to get plastered on their large frozen Margaritas which are supposed to be shared, but everyone ends up ordering one for themselves.

It's also more a resturant than fast food.

All this advice and still Jeff and Dan persist in experiencing Dragonball wrong. Anything less the learning Japanese and reading the manga, the first edition of course, is an injustice to material.

@jeff@brad@unastrike After listening to you guys talk about dark John Arbuckle / Garfield, I want to recommend that you go and watch the fairly recent film "The Voices" as soon as possible and read as little as you can about it before you do. All I will tell you is that it's basically the REAL Garfield movie we always imagined - even has the talking jerk orange cat and a dumb dog.

Don't even watch this trailer if you want it to be best. That's how I saw it... but if you still need convincing:

It was on Amazon free for Prime subscribers a while back, but now I think it's only available for rent / buy (though you can rent it on Amazon for $3).

Seriously though, go watch it ASAP.

Do people play Amiga for its arcade ports like Street Fighter? I've always thought of it as having a cool library of its own original games. Plenty were then ported to other systems but I'm not sure they all improved much in the process, so it's still a good place to play them.

I never had a special attachment or inclination towards the Gamecube controller, having never owned a Gamecube myself. But when I went to college, my group of friends and I played a fuckton of Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii. Your choices there were shitty Wiimotes/other shitty Wii controllers no one wanted to shell out money for, or Gamecube controllers. And let me tell you: after all that time playing Smash, a Gamecube controller just feels right for it. Can't explain why. Doesn't mean the Gamecube controller is a good controller as a whole. It's just that it's the Smash controller. I can't imagine playing a Smash with something like an Xbox/PS controller.

Also, Lost Planet 2 was a fun co-op game. I think calling it straight-up bad is too far.

Jeff has mentioned the Amiga a few times, and that it seems a lot of the fondness people have for it is largely because they grew up with it and didn't know much different. That's probably also true of the C64, and why Jeff is able to do those old game streams.

There is totally an old-games-stream's worth of stuff on the Amiga to show off, and even some of the arcade ports have their own elements that differentiate them in interesting or fun ways. Jeff mentioned Out Run, which had a great digitized voice intro, and the car was fat on screen, but is otherwise unremarkable.

As for lesser mentioned originals, I'd suggest Odyssey for the one cool thing it does (as far as I know, only the Amiga did this crazy morphing tech at the time); Walker, for being kind of ahead of its time asking the player to use both keyboard and mouse in an action game; and Premiere for the animation quality, though I remember it being hard and not much else about gameplay, so perhaps it's bad now. Shadow of the Beast also comes to mind as being best on Amiga, and don't think it has been cataloged on the site, yet.

Sorry if all this has been mentioned before (I suspect you've probably heard the entire catalog by this point), but just in case, those are a few that spring to mind.
