    Pokémon Dollar

Object » linked to 16 games

The currency used in the Pokémon series, annotated by a strange symbol (p with a double strikethrough).

    Short summary describing this thing.

    Overview

In the original Japanese versions of the Pokémon games, they simply use Japanese yen as the currency. In the international versions, it is replaced by Pokémon Dollars. Naturally, the value of Pokémon Dollars is based on the value of yen.

Despite being based on The United States of America (all previous regions in the Pokémon world have been based on regions in Japan), the Unova region also uses Pokémon Dollars, by extension being Japanese yen.
