I've been looking for a Ditto for ages, and I cannot seem to find one...I really really need one so that  I can start breeding my Pokemon.  Can someone tell me where I can find them in the wild?

right below goldenrod oooorr check professor oaks radio show and he will let you know the pokemon swarm of the day and ditto is often the pokemon

You can also find it, in the cave where you fight Mewtwo

In Pokemon Red for the Gameboy Color :P
 
I think you can find him in Route 47 or so.

I found one just south of Goldenrod.  Now its in the daycare making sweet love to my Bulbasaur.

My Ditto has grown over 50 levels in the day care so far. As a breeding Pokemon, I just leave it in there.
