I always make my Pokemon decisions based on which version has the cooler looking exclusive Pokemon. Once we find that out I will choose.

I'll have to see the differences but based on logo, I'm leaning towards Moon.

There is no information regarding the differences between the two versions as of yet, thus one cannot make an informed decision, only an asinine one.

Being honest with myself, both. But I'll start with Sun probably going by the logo. I usually base it on the exclusive pokemon though, so until we know that my choice is up in the air. Whichever one has more of my favorites.

This is also my problem. I mean, I chose Y using a very off-the-wall reason, based on chromosomes (my girlfriend at the time got X), but in the past it was usually based on what was exclusive to each version. I wanted Black, for example, because I loved the cold sci-fi look for Black City vs White Forest (though it could be argued that white forest was the better and cooler area gameplay-wise).

So, yeah, at this time I have NO idea. Probably will get the version that my significant other won't get, for trading purposes.

The all important question is what the differences are, but MOON sounds way cooler.

I won't be getting either unless it has MMO game mechanics. Fighting AI trainers who do the same thing over and over is boring. Fighting humans who are unpredictable is fun.

I'm not going to be able to pick until we at least see the cover legendaries, if not the list of exclusives to each version. And if there's some big difference to the region between versions like Black and White I'll want to know that first too.

I might actually buy a 3DS for this game. I mean, not purely for this game. The console has an impressive library of games already, but this might finally push me over the edge.

Same. For me it goes Coolest looking pokemon > coolest looking cover > coolest sounding name.

I usually go with the blue ones so Moon it is.

If I were to pick one, I'd go Sun. Moon's not all that great, it just takes you to the secret room; Sun allows you to refill your heart containers, deals damage to all enemies in the room, and reveals the map.

Anybody worth anything will wait to see what the actual exclusive Pokemon/zones/etc. are first before committing to one.

I have some insider info. You play as a young male or female who will capture and train the titular Pokemon and journey across the world. Along the way you will be at odds with a nefarious organization that uses Pokemon to achieve their dastardly goals. If you don't give up you can finally become a Pokemon Master and maybe learn a little something about friendship, perseverance and love along the way.

We know nothing about these games - I'll probably just look up a list of the exclusive pokemon near release and pick the one with the most I like.

Don't mean to spoil anything, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Lunatone and Solrock will have Mega Evolutions. So if you even care about such a worthless mechanic, that might sway which version you'll get.

I don't own a 3ds, but I'm hoping this means they go to space or something.

I might not but I usually go by which ever one I think has the coolest pokemon on the cover, that's how I've always bought my pokemon games and I always seem to think the opposite of the masses for whatever reason.

I always go with the Blue equivalent first, so Moon. I'll get the other version eventually though, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Hey looks like me from 8 months ago was spot on in my prediction. I'm getting both versions and will be using Sun for my first playthrough and moon for a nuzlocke.

Moon, because I always seem to go for the release with the "colder" colour.

I don't know, I'd wouldn't mind having either one. With Sun you can get Passimian, which is a Rugby playing monkey and Alolan Vulpix. But with Moon, you can get Alolan Sandshrew and Drampa. Whatever, both versions have the sleeper contender for best Pokemon of 2016...

Rowlet, Litten and Popplio are all strong, but this guy here deserves some recognition!

I'd like to experience both with what I know about their differences, but I just don't have the time. I chose Pokémon Sun because it reminds me of my childhood where one of my favourite animals were Lions; what's Pokémon for, if not to reminisce about being a kid again?

I'll be picking up Sun on launch, but I'm sure I'll be getting both eventually.

If this is any indication I lean towards moon. Though it's no dope looking deer thing I'll take a weird bat thing over a weird lion thing.
