The first generation is the only good generation of Pokémon.

I liked Unova's Pokemon best. Kanto comes in a close second.

First generation! There are some pretty cool second gen pokemon though. Pokemon's first 6 seasons were freakin' awesome after that all went downhill.

I grew up with Kanto, so I probably picked that out of bias.

I find the First generation to be quite boring and bland myself, guess most people think different. I think it picked up at the Second, reached its peak at Third, went a bit down on Fourth, and hit rock bottom at Fifth.  
Seriously, 5th is horrible.

First and second are good, rest, meh, but the new ones from Black and White have a few keepers.

The first generation easy, the others were simply cut and pastes gone wrong.

Second gen was when I called it quits. Because Pokemon Silver is the best Pokemon game ever made.

 Johto and Kanto are both equally great, but the others are kind of meh.

First, the Pokemon now are retarded.

Most of my favorites are from the first Gen, including Emo-Dinosaur Wearing-His-Mothers-Skull and a real Badass bird, but I still voted for 5th because of all my ironic love for that damn Ice-Cream pokemon.

Which ever was your first. Which for most people is the first. There are some really bad pokemon there though.

The first one is great, and the third also had some pretty awesome designs. The others... well, they all have something cool, but overall they're not very good.

I picked second gen because I think 1st and 2nd are tied for me.

I like the one with the little monster thing that comes out of some guy's balls.

I think first and second have the best Pokemon as a whole, but my favourite pokemon is still third generation.

Kanto had the best Pokemon but the best game was the Johto one.

I'm not surprised that 1st gen is in the lead.

Every generation got progressively worse. I bet that the unreleased 0v. versions might be even better.

First generation is the best but I would also accept second. Anything past that is bad.

First is the best, but anything up to third is acceptable. Fourth and fifth are just abysmal.

Pokemons...I've never understood them, or peoples fascination with them. Maybe if they made Pokemon themed Hentai.

Every gen has its share of misfits, there's been some cool designs after the first batch but they get overshadowed by Conkeldurrs and nostalgia. Can't pick a favorite but it sure isn't 1.

This. There's nothing more 'unique' or 'pure' or 'creative' about the first gen. The newer gen designs are a bit more busy, though.
