    Overview

    Polka is a fourteen-year-old floral powder salesgirl from the quiet village of Tenuto. She lives with her loving mother Solfege, but is often viewed by others as a monster due to her ability to use magic. In reality, Polka suffers from an illness that will eventually kill her; in her world, the ability to use magic is a gift granted to those that are terminally ill. Polka befriends Frédéric François Chopin and journeys to Forte in order to petition for fairer pricing of mineral powder, the sales of which are killing her floral powder sales. Along the way, she encounters numerous dangers, but also meets a number of new friends.
