    Overview

Poly-Net Warriors is a cutesy sci-fi first-person shooter developed and released by Konami for arcades in 1993, exclusively in Japan.

One of Konami's earliest arcade games to feature polygonal 3D, Poly-Net Warriors puts players in timed arena battles through the eyes of one of four different-colored robots (the "Poly-Net Warriors"). Similar to Faceball 2000, players launch balls at enemies to drain their health while avoiding opposing balls. Along with linked free-for-all multiplayer, the game features single-player matches against themed teams of three enemy robots.

The game was sold as a custom four-player linked cabinet, with the player choice determining their chosen robot (the red Horitaro, the yellow Konsuke, the green Borihiko, and the blue Konkichi). Along with a single button for firing, the game uses a single joystick for its movement controls (allowing lateral movement by moving the joystick and rotational movement by twisting the joystick).

While it did not receive any overseas release, it was used as the base for the tank combat game Polygonet Commanders.

    Campaign

The single-player game includes eight opposing teams to face-off against. However, they cannot face all eight in a single credit, and can only choose from three "courses": Normal (levels 1-4), Hard (levels 3-6), and Super Hard (levels 5-8). Each level has their own unique team:

    1. The Yowatchi
    2. Tongariizu
    3. Dancers
    4. Kobosukesu
    5. Rockers
    6. Animals
    7. Monsters
    8. Oyabunsu
