    Pontiac was a car brand that is named after the native American war chief by General Motors that was started in 1926 and discontinued in 2010. It is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. It was discontinued in 2010 in order for GM to focus on their core brands of Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick.
