    Overview

    Pool Nation FX is a 3D billiards game developed by Cherry Pop and published digitally by Mastertronic for the Xbox One on March 31, 2015 (later becoming self-published).

    The sequel to their previous pool simulation game Pool Nation, Pool Nation FX features an improved physics engine, enhanced online multiplayer (including a competitive mode where players earn currency for unlockables), and a new game variant: Snooker. The new variant was later used as a base for the snooker-themed spin-off Snooker Nation Championship.

    It was later ported (as a self-published title) to the PC, which was first released as a Steam Early Access title on October 7, 2015, then as a free-to-play title (limited to the 8 Ball variant, with all other features as piecemeal DLC) on December 7, 2015. It was later released for the PlayStation 4 on July 9, 2019 and for the PlayStation 5 on May 20, 2022, both under the original Pool Nation name. The PS4 version also received a retail release by Wired Productions.
